Don Brown

Don Brown serves as our Chief Executive Officer. With more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Brown is known for building high-performing teams, driving operational improvements and achieving excellent financial results. Prior to leading Isto Biologics as CEO, Mr. Brown created and still serves as CEO and board member of Arteriocyte Inc, (now Compass Biomedical) where he successfully raised more than $65 million in capital for the Company, created Arteriocyte Medical Systems, Inc., and acquired the Magellan Autologous Concentration System technology portfolio from Medtronic. Mr. Brown’s previous experience includes 12 years in sales, marketing and operational leadership roles at Schering Plough where he had P&L responsibility for one of the first billion dollar pharmaceutical franchises in the U.S., (CLARITIN), and at Viacell (acquired by Perkin Elmer) a stem cell therapy company focused on developing umbilical cord blood stem cell treatments targeting pediatric leukemia. His extensive management experience includes healthcare-focused business development, operations, and sales leadership roles. In addition to serving on the Board of Isto Biologics, Mr. Brown is also an advisor for the Live4Evan foundation whose mission is to provide temporary housing for families of children with heart disease. Mr. Brown received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
