Isto is seeking a full-time Purchasing and Operations Specialist for their Carlsbad, CA location. Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Operations, the Purchasing and Operations Specialist assists with the steps that comprise the supply chain process, making sure that the supply chain is efficient, on time, and cost-effective.

Duties and Responsibilities
Purchasing:
- Monitor company inventory and order new stock when necessary.
- Contact vendors, collect parts information from vendors and set up information in ERP system.
- Source alternative supply when the current supply is not available.
- Analyze the demand per vendor.
- Conduct the purchasing planning, which needs to be approved by the Finance department.
- Create purchase order in ERP system and place order for raw materials, finished goods or service via email, phone call or online per purchasing planning, and ensure the company receives the supplies on time.
- Communicate product changes to Engineering and Quality.
- Work with Accounting department to resolve invoice discrepancies and questions.
- Support Warehouse department with obtaining required documentation for vendor shipments.
- Vendor Relationship Management- assist with new vendor qualification with QA team; set up the vendor in both AMS Quality system and ERP system. Work closely with current vendors, cooperate with vendors, and keep the materials or services flowing smoothly.
- Follow up and solve any potential issue of supplies.
- Relationship building is important in maintaining this high level of service and quality.
Inventory Control:
- Track inventory of FG, WIP and RM with precision daily, weekly and monthly based on the part category and risk.
- Update the inventory information in supply chain analysis report and related purchasing planning module when needed.
- Participate in the inventory management process, including the quarterly or yearly cycle count reconciliation, receiving, materials transactions, defect materials return and inventory adjustment.
- Report understock, overstock, obsolete and or to-be-expired parts.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering on the quarantine parts NCR disposition and return parts to vendor.
- Manage the offsite warehouse locally and overseas.
- Coordinate the logistics for local and international inventory shipments.
Operations:
- Support the Operations team and assist in completing business and administrative tasks to enable the team to operate more efficiently.
- Communicate the needs and objectives to key personnel in quality, development, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
- Help the entire team understand the timing required and the individual input necessary to make the process run smoothly.
- Support additional special projects as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or Business Administration preferred with 5+ years of related experience.
- Self-directed, self-starter with a proactive approach to strategic thinking, problem-solving and strong decision-making skills.
- Collaborative team player who has the communication skills and client orientation necessary to effectively interact with a variety of people at all levels, able to build strong relationships on trust, respect, clear communication, and shared goals.
- Knowledge of business principles.
- Excellent technical skills, including fluency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization. Capable of managing large amounts of information. Very good at record keeping.
- Ability to appropriately prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Manage time effectively and deliver high-quality work on time within a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
- Must operate in compliance with the Arteriocyte Medical Systems dba Isto Biologics Quality Manual and the regulations that are applicable.
Schedule: Full time
Pay: $65,000 - 70,000 Salary/year
